Some things to remember for final exams:

1. Bring all of your books from the year. You can use them on the test and you need to turn them in. If you do not have your books, you will need to pay the school to replace them.

    Everyone: English textbook (Holt Fourth Course); Gilgamesh; A Midsummer Night's Dream
    CP: The Little Prince
    Pre-AP: The Plague; Till We Have Faces

You need to have the note taking portion of your research nearly completed by next class -- don't forget to use the template distributed in class. We will begin to talk about outlining and paper writing, and if you do not have your research done, you will waste your own time.

At the following link, you can find the blank note taking template, as well as a list of suggested sources to investigate to use in your project.

Also, don't forget that your outside reading assignment is due May 11th (next Friday).

Finally, you can begin studying for your final using the study guide found at the same link (and handed out in class).

and read the selection of passages from The Plague that could be considered existential or somehow controversial in nature. (Email me immediately if you have troubles opening the files -- telling me about your computer troubles on the day I check homework is not an acceptable excuse.)

Please note that the link also contains copies of the blank notetaking template, and a study guide for your final exam.

2. Make a list of bullet points (5-8) explaining in very simple terms the basic principles of existentialism.

3. Continue finding & bringing in good sources for your paper. You may need to begin taking notes outside of class.

4. Email Ms. Kalmar if you want a teacher's perspective to integrate into your paper.

5. Outside Reading assingments for all classes are due on May 11th.

1. Find two internet sources on the topic of EXISTENTIALISM (philosophy). Print a copy (at least part of the article, if possible... you will not be able to print a video, for example) to bring to class, and also post links to your sources on our class blog (in the comment section of this post).

2. Read the following excerpts from The Plague: pp. 7-17, 36-47, 61-63 (beginning at "About this time" at the bottom of the page), and 67-77.
