Provide an annotation of the story, including the following elements:

While reading...

1. Write comments & questions in the margins of the text.
2. Underline phrases, quotes, etc., which reveal character.
3. Write unfamiliar vocabulary words on a sticky note, index card, or small piece of paper (to be turned in).

After reading...

4. Summarize the text in EXACTLY five bullet points -- no more, no less!
5. Write two (2) one-sentence-long themes for the story.  One of your themes should be about the topic of INDIVIDUALITY/INDIVIDUALS, and the other one should be about the topic of SOCIETY.
