DANES:

Read and annotate "By the Waters of Babylon" (textbook page 174).  Annotation includes:
  • indicating important points;
  • writing comments & questions;
  • indicating unfamiliar vocabulary words.
Since this is in the textbook, do your annotations either on sticky notes or on a separate piece of paper.

PRE-AP (GEATS, YLFINGS, WAEGMUNDINGS, SCYLDINGS):

Read and annotate "In the Penal Colony" (handed out in class but also available online).  See assignment for the Danes for reminder about annotation.
