Organization ("Bring it up - Back it up - Sum it up")
Content (interesting, debatable topic; original ideas; plenty of textual support)
Usage (grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation; formatting - typed & MLA style)
Style (interesting diction, varied sentence construction, writing "flows")
2. Create a handout which explains the purpose and construction of a thesis statement to someone who has never experienced thesis writing before. Your handout should be typed on the computer, and should include:

Also consider using charts, arrows, pictures, or other strategies to appeal to individuals who learn in diverse ways.
3. Reminder... if you want to take AP English III but you have not submitted a paragraph explaining why you want to take the class and why you think you'll be a good fit, I have not approved you to take the course. Get this to me ASAP.
