1. You'll have a formal assessment on Lesson 1 (qualities of an epic hero / epic quest) at the beginning of the next class.

2. Make sure you're an expert on your assigned epic conventions (two each)... do additional research if you need more clarification, and then:
   
a.) Find excerpts from other epics that illustrate each of your conventions.
b.) Find a song for each of your conventions and post it (preferably a YouTube link, but just the name will work) in the comments section of this post.  Make sure you label it with your name, section, and which convention it demonstrates.
