EPIC HERO PRESENTATIONS (30 Points)

Your groups must turn in a (typed) script and present a 3-5 minute presentation of an oral epic, including all the qualities of an epic hero and the epic quest.  Each member of the group must take as the “storyteller” and a turn as an actor in the story.  Try to imitate the style of Gilgamesh with a serious, heightened tone, repeated lines, etc.

10 points – Qualities of Epic Hero / Epic Quest

10 points – Imitation of style of Gilgamesh

5 points – Using class time wisely

5 points – Creativity & Effort (props, length, complexity, etc.)

** One point deduction per every five seconds over or under time
